| Biography: Martha Young is a professor of teacher and language education who joined the UNLV faculty in 1986. She is a professor of secondary teacher education and Associate Dean of the College of Education. Her research interests include teacher education, linguistics and language pedagogy, and English language and literacy. Dr. Young is involved with distance education delivery and alternative teacher education programs. She has also been involved in grant sponsored projects based on collaboration with scholars across institutional lines. Dr. Young is also involved in international education. She has published over 35 books and journal articles. Dr. Young is the recipient of the 1998-1999 UNLV and Regents Distinguished Teacher Award. |
