| Biography: Dr. Janelle Bailey is an Assistant Professor of Science Education, currently teaching undergraduate science methods and graduate science education courses. Her background includes secondary teaching in Wyoming (physics and chemistry) and college astronomy for nonscience majors at the University of Arizona. Dr. Bailey is an active researcher in the area of student understanding of astronomy, and has published articles in Astronomy Education Review (http://aer.aip.org), American Journal of Physics, and The Physics Teacher. She is a past chair of the Space Science and Astronomy Committee for the American Association of Physics Teachers and is an active member of several other organizations. |
