To receive an endorsement to teach computer literacy a person must have a valid elementary, middle school/ junior high school, secondary or special teaching license (excluding Business and Industry and Special Qualifications) and complete:

6 semester credits of course work which must include the following:

1. Methods for teaching the use of a computer or educational issues related to computers;
2. An introduction to using:
   1. The computer keyboard and printer;
   2. Basic operating commands; and
   3. Computer terminology; and
3. A review of available software.
